What is Boutique Fairs?
Boutique Fairs, aka Boutiques for short, is a twice-yearly shopping event that focuses on independent Singapore-based designers and craftspeople (and 80% of them are socially-conscious brands).
What can I expect to find / buy at Boutique Fairs?
Boutiques bills itself as the one-stop destination for special finds so expect to find literally anything and everything from fashion / accessories, lifestyle products, food, alcohol, home decor, stuff for kids, toys, etc.
Where is Boutique Fairs held?
The F1 Pit Building, levels 2 + 3.

Why should I go for Boutique Fairs?
LSQ is all about #supportlocalSG so naturally I’ll be drawn to a shopping event like Boutiques. This is only my 3rd time going for boutiques although it’s been around since 2002!
I really encourage one and all to go for it. It may feel slightly intimidating your first time there, because we are talking about 2 whole floors at the pit building with 7 different themed rooms filled with 300+ brands / vendors, but trust me, it’s definitely well worth your time to spend 1 weekend afternoon there.
From my experience, most vendors are more than happy and eager to share their brand stories, journeys, sustainable practices, etc. If anything or brand catches your eye, don’t be shy, go ahead and approach the stall. I guarantee even if you don’t buy anything, you will definitely learn something from your time there.

When LSQ gets tired from shopping at Boutiques, I’ll have 2 coffees from 1 degree Coffee and The Mak’s Coffee. Food-wise, it’s become an LSQ personal tradition to have DRY LAKSA from Violet Oon and a falafel wrap from Urban Bites. SUPER YUMMY!
LSQ’s picks of brands to check out at Boutiques
1 – SOURCE collections – For exquisite, well-designed, high quality basics that are sustainably made. LSQ loves their tencel tees – the material is TO DIE FOR. For this edition, they are launching seamless undies for both boys and girls <3
2 – MATTER prints – Another sustainable and socially conscious brand LSQ adores! Their pants are one-of-a-kind and super flattering for all body types. Take the chance to try on all their pieces at Boutiques. For this edition, they are launching exclusive new jumpsuits, dresses, and jacquard sets. LSQ is also chionging there to try on their new Square Top.
3 – The Missing Piece – A very popular local brand that specialises in dresses with well, a missing piece or pieces. LSQ loves their signature dress with cut-outs at the waist, as well as their chic reinterpretations of cheong sums. These are perfect, timeless occasion dresses <3 This edition, they are launching their CNY 2020 Flight of Fancy collection.
4 – Susy and Bae – LSQ swears they make the most comfortable and beautiful bralettes ever. This edition, they are launching bralettes in full sizes (LSQ NEEDS!). I will also be trying on their loungewear because they look simply heavenly and amazing.
5 – Onlewo – LSQ loveeees all things local so the Singapore-inspired prints and fabric used by Onlewo (think the dragon playground, Vanda Miss Joaquim, Peranakan tiles, etc) always attract my eyeballs and legs to their booth. So far, they have only made menswear and home decor (eg, wallpaper, cushion covers, curtains, etc) but this edition, they are finally heeding my wishes and launching womenswear!!!!

Boutiques is a socially conscious event so bring your own water bottles, shopping bags, and reusable cutlery if you can! There are water dispensers in every room and you can make a donation to refill your bottles (100% of donations go towards clean water funds in Asia) :d
